Teaching

Theses

I continuously offer different topics in the area of physical layer security and mm-wave communication systems. However, available topics are not restricted to those listed here. If you are interested in my research area and looking for a topic for your final thesis, write me an e-mail and we can discuss possible options in detail.

Open HiWi positions

I am always looking for good students with keen interest in wireless communications, mm-wave systems, and wireless security in general. Tasks vary between implementation, testbed setup and evaluation in both, simulation and experimentation. In particular, I am looking for students with background in MATLAB, FPGA or Linux Kernel driver development (fulfilling one of these skills is sufficient). If you are interested in a HiWi position and aim for practical experience with next-generation wireless communication systems, do not hesitate to write me an e-mail.

Short Biography

Daniel Steinmetzer received his master degree in information system technology from Technische Universität Darmstadt in 2014 with a thesis on "Security Analysis of Physical Layer Key Exchange Mechanisms". He started working at Secure Mobile Networking Lab (TU Darmstadt) in July 2014 and now focuses his research on secure millimeter-wave communications. His other interests are physical layer security and wireless communications in general.
