Short Biography

Arash Asadi received his doctorate in telematics engineering from Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) in 2016. He joined Secure Mobile Networking lab (SEEMOO) at Technical University of Darmstadt in March 2016 as a post doctoral researcher. As of October 2017, he is appointed as Athena Young Investigator of Technical University of Darmstadt, which provides him the right to supervise PhD students independently. His research interests include several aspects of wireless communication: 5G cellular networking, millimeter-wave communication, Device-to-Device (D2D) communication techniques, Software-defined Radio (SDR) prototyping. He is a recipient of several awards including outstanding PhD and master thesis award from UC3M. Some of his papers on D2D communication has appeared in IEEE COMSOC best reading topics on D2D communication and in IEEE COMSOC Tech Focus.
