Biography

Marco Rossanese is an Early Stage Researcher in the European project B5G MINTS H2020 MSCA-ITN. He is employed as researcher at NEC Laboratories Europe GmbH in the 5G Networks team and he is enrolled as a Ph.D. student at the Technische Universität of Darmstadt.

Marco obtained his bachelor’s degree in Information Engineering at the University of Padua in 2017 and the master’s degree in ICT for Internet and Multimedia (Telecommunication Engineering), with full marks, at the same university in 2019. He demonstrated to be passionate about wireless communications, IoT and Photonics. Marco was an intern at ABB Corporate Research Center in Sweden and there he carried out his master’s thesis on real-time wireless communications for robotics.

Marco is currently working on mmWave connections, he targets to enhance the resilience and the throughput of these unexplored frequencies by exploiting multi-RAT solutions on the sub-6GHz spectrum. It aims to develop multi-RAT algorithms for trading off the data rate with the targeted resilience and to define new architectural designs for efficient and seamless inter-technology handovers, transparent to the higher layers.
