Secure Mobile Networking Lab - SEEMOO

The Secure Mobile Networking Lab – SEEMOO is headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Hollick. SEEMOO is part of the Computer Science Department of Technische Universität Darmstadt and affiliated with CRISP – Center for Research in Security and Privacy.

Our Vision

Our restless, mobile society increasingly depends on information and communication technology. Technology has progressed as far as to enable seamless connectivity in all but the most remote places. Yet adequate protection of the dependability and security in mobile networks is lacking. Moreover, user's privacy starts to erode with the growth in penetration of mobile communication devices.

Find above a visual outline of the applications we are interested in, the types of networks we focus on, and the fundamentals as well as mechanism & protocols we are investigating at SEEMOO. From this starting point, we aim at addressing selected technological research challenges. For instance, we investigate and model the potential impact of attacks on mobile and wireless networks as well as on user privacy. To counteract these attacks and mitigate their potential effects, we develop technology that enables dependable, secure, and privacy preserving communications on the move.

Do not hesitate to contact us for further information or to visit us in our lab.
