Current smartphones use permission systems to restrict third-party app access to user data. These systems are constantly evolving to meet new privacy requirements, and we have developed a new approach here at Seemoo to enhance user privacy further. In this Master's Thesis, your goal is to evaluate our new permission system by designing and conducting a user study. This includes implementing a test app that reflects the new permission handling and can be used throughout the user study.

Prerequisites:

  • Interest in planning and conducting a user study in our lab.
  • Android knowledge.
  • This is a Master's Thesis.
  • No fear of the unknown & scientific curiosity ;)
